Watering Bulbs in Winter

Q.  I planted lots of spring flowering bulbs this fall including tulips, daffodils and crocus.  I watered them in thoroughly after planting.  Do they need supplemental watering through the winter?

Watering Bulbs in Winter

A.  Yes, they need water through the winter months to bloom properly in the spring. The bulbs you planted have already started growing roots and should not be allowed to dry out. Give them a good soak once a month for the best flowers in the spring.
